Abstract
Volcanoes provide a primary pathway for heat and volatile transport from the mantle to the Earth's surface and atmosphere. These systems are highly dynamic and out-of-equilibrium where volatiles play a key role in driving magma ascent and eruption. This talk will cover the methods used to study volcanic degassing, what that tells us about igneous processes, and consequences for the atmosphere.
